OUR STORY
1978
Founding and initial focus
Founded as Heftruck-Systemen by Geurt Jan Janssen, the company focused on servicing importers of forklift electronics. It later expanded to Germany, becoming Q-tronic BV in the Netherlands in the 1980s and DMC GmbH in Germany in 1999.
1979
Shift to electronics and key partnerships
Shifted focus entirely to electronics, began retrofitting electronic equipment for forklifts; established partnerships with Cableform, Bosch, and General Electric.
1981
Official Sevcon importer and training programs
Became official importer for Sevcon; expanded into various market sectors and introduced “knowledge is power“ training for service engineers.
1980s
Collaboration with Sevcon on control units
Began collaboration with Sevcon on electronic control units; developed pump controls for clients including Toyota, Still, Jungheinrich, and Yale.
1999
Development of DMC Pro Controller (Sigmadrive)
Development of DMC Pro Controller (now Sigmadrive) started with focus on AC technology. The name Heftruck-Systemen GmbH changed to Digital Motor Control GmbH (DMC).
2001-02
Launch of Sigmadrive Control Units
Sigmadrive control units launched and applied in various applications. Sevcon controllers were replaced step by step for Sigmadrive controllers.
2006
Distributor Agreement with PG Drives
PGDT is a leading supplier of small DC controllers for industrial and medical vehicles. PGDT now is part of the American company Curtiss Wright.
2010
Focus on System Integration
Q-tronic wants to be a leading powertrain solutions provider and systems integrator for industrial and mobile equipment. Agreements were made with suppliers of high quality electrification products.
2020
Q-tronic & DMC Aquired by Addtech
Both companies were aquired as a group because of the close cooperation and history.
2023
Distributor contract with Zapi Group
The Zapi Group is a global electrification leader and consist of several companies (Zapi, Inmotion, Schabmueller, Delta Q, Zivan, BlueBotics) manufacturing e-motors, motorcontrollers, chargers and navigation products.

We are an addtech business
Addtech is a Swedish publicly listed group specializing in technological solutions. The company comprises approximately 140 independent businesses that sell high-tech products and solutions to customers in the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors across around 20 countries. Addtech creates optimal conditions for the growth and profitability of other companies. Addtech has organized its companies into five business areas, and we belong to Electrification, specifically within the Power and Mobility business unit.

Since the environment is one of our greatest concerns, our ultimate goal is to operate as sustainably as possible. Q-tronic’s main environmental objective is to promote sustainable thinking wherever possible. We strive for a circular environmental economy, meaning that all materials used by the company should be part of a cycle and cause minimal emissions.
We understand that transportation impacts our climate, which is why we always review possible transport options and optimize customer visits when working outside the office, aiming to minimize our environmental footprint.

The work and processes at Q-tronic are certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 . We view the certificates as proof of our high standards. Despite this we always work hard to get even better.
SUSTAINABILITY
Q-tronic strives to be in the forefront of Sustainable business, both in the social and environmental perspectives. As a part of Addtech group, Q-tronico has adopted their Code of conduct which summarizes the ethical values that the Addtech Group believe should apply to all relations. The code is based on the UN’s Global Compact, the ILO’s core conventions, the OECD’s guidelines for multinational companies, competition legislation and anti-corruption regulations. In conjunction with the CoC we have also adopted Addtech´s Sustainability policy which summarize our goals to achieve a brighter future.
WHISTLEBLOWER FUNCTION
As part of Addtech, Q-tronic have joined the group´s work to achieve a transparent and ethically sound business climate. To show that we value the security and respect everyone that is affected by our company we offer a whistle-blower function to highlight situations where Adigo have been perceived not follow our values or Code of conduct. The anonymity of the whistleblower is assured by the use of an external partner, Whistle B.
